Lynn University Fighting Knights raises over $100,000 at 25th Annual Robino Golf Tournament

Boca Raton, Florida—Lynn University received a record number of donations and pledges at the 25th anniversary of its Robino Golf Tournament on April 24. The Fighting Knights' largest fundraiser of the year raised $101,895 for athletic scholarships.

"It's the continued support of the community, alumni and Fighting Knights fans that help us provide an individualized learning experience and state-of-the-art athletics program for our students," said Lynn Director of Athletics Devin Crosby. "Our athletic program is founded on spirit, service and strength—values engrained in our athletes and coaches and strengthened by those who support them."

Frank A. Robino Jr., trustee, generous benefactor and friend to the university, had a passion for providing scholarship assistance to student athletes. The university's annual golf tournament is hosted in his honor at one of South Florida's premier golf clubs, the Seagate Country Club in Delray Beach, and benefits student athletes by providing scholarship assistance to receive a college degree that otherwise might not be possible.

Team CBIZ, led by Blue & White Club Leadership Council member Jason Sundermeier, won first place in the tournament, and Board of Trustees Chair Christine E. Lynn's team was the overall ladies champion. The event was made possible by title sponsors Gerrits Construction and the E.M. Lynn Foundation.
