Lynn University Fighting Knights

Joe Connon began his collegiate coaching career as a graduate assistant with the Lynn University women’s soccer team prior to the 2010 season and moved into a full-time role in 2012.

In his role as lead assistant, Connon is involved in all aspects of coaching, including planning practices, recruiting and scouting opponents while also spear-heading the team’s community service efforts.  

Additionally, he provides much of the coaching of the Fighting Knights defense.  Since his arrival in Boca, LU allowed just 39 goals, the fewest two-year total since 2000-01, while improving its goals-against average from seventh to fourth in the Sunshine State Conference.

A four-year letterwinner at Missouri Baptist, Connon was recruited and coached by current Blue & White coach Chip Dutchik and earned NAIA All-America Honorable Mention honors as a freshman.

The Ireland product played for the U15 national team as a youth and coached for numerous teams in his native land.

Connon graduated in 2007 from Missouri Baptist with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and completed his Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in sports management from Lynn University in May of 2012.
