Co-Female Athlete of the Week: Kira Harvey

With the 2012-13 campaign reaching its end, the Lynn University women's basketball team picked up a pair of Sunshine State Conference victories over Barry and Rollins. Helping the Fighting Knights sweep the Bucs for the first time since the 2005-06 season and the Tars for the first time in school history was Kira Harvey.
 
The senior from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., scored 19 of her 23 points in the second half to secure the home victory over rival Barry. She matched that performance with 22 points in a victory over Rollins that put the Fighting Knights at the top of the SSC standings.
 
With week averages of 22.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5 rebounds and 2.5 steals Harvey was also named SSC player of the week. Her 18.7 points per game average is the top in the conference and 27th in the NCAA. She is also ranked in the SSC in rebounds (8th), assists (6th), free throw percentage (4th), steals (3rd), three point percentage (5th) and three pointers made (2nd).
 
Harvey and fellow seniors Tashina Bailey, Amanda Shultz, and Karolina Bazzua play their final game in the de Hornle Center when they host Florida Tech on February 20 at 5:30 pm
