Female Athlete of the Week: Brianna Cox

The Lynn University volleyball team went 3-1 in the 6th annual NSU Shark Classic while Brianna Cox broke two Lynn records in denying Wayne State a chance of completing the comeback in the final match of the tournament.

The middle blocker from Lancaster, Calif., posted 12 assisted blocks, breaking Haley Pratt's record for assisted and total blocks in a single match. She added 10 assisted blocks and five solo blocks in three previous matches to give her 27 total blocks over the weekend.

The Blue & White welcome University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez, Assumption, Florida Southern, Valdosta State, and Clark Atlantic in the Courtyard by Marriott Invitational hosted by Lynn University from September 6-9, in the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.
