Female Athlete of the Week: Iona Ivan

This past week Lynn University's women's tennis team went 3-0 defeating Palm Beach Atlantic, Saint Leo, and Florida Southern. Iona Ivan led the Knights, going a perfect 6-0 in both singles and doubles play en rout to conference player of the week honors.

The sophomore from Snagov, Romania defeated two nationally ranked doubles opponents with the help of Sabine Krause. The nationally ranked Ivan did not loose a single set in three matches at the top singles spot.

Five games into the season she has yet to lose in either singles or doubles.

The Blue & White host conference foe Eckerd and Hillsborough CC on Saturday before welcoming Valdosta State to the Perper Tennis Facility on Sunday at 10 a.m.
