BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University Director of Athletics Dr. Kristen Migliano proudly announced a partnership with the Licensing Resource Group to provide full license management of the Fighting Knights brand.

“Lynn University is excited to partner with LRG in a University-wide initiative to license Lynn’s marks and logos,” said Migliano.  “The marketability of Lynn University and its athletics program is an important initiative and one we are proud to partner with LRG to protect and service.”

The Licensing Resource Group was founded in May of 1991, and currently represents more than 180 universities, athletic conferences and special properties nationwide.  LRG will provide trademark management services that include contract management, merchandising, brand development, information technology and royalty management from offices in Holland, Mich., Winston-Salem, NC, Iowa City, Iowa, and Bristol, RI.

“A collegiate licensing agreement is an aspect of Lynn University Athletics’ strategic plan and included in the department’s goals for 2013,” Migliano added.  “The partnership is an example of Lynn’s commitment to advancing the athletics program through a branding program.”

“LRG is proud to partner with a great brand like Lynn University to help promote its rich history of academic excellence and athletic success,” said President and CEO Lewis Hardy.  “We have a long and successful history of launching trademark licensing programs, and we look forward to our partnership with the University, its licensees and retailers to aggressively promote and grow the Lynn brand.”

Lynn University boasts 20 National Championships, 29 Sunshine State Conference titles and 380 All-America selections.  The Fighting Knights finished 25th in the 2011-12 Learfield Sports Director’s Cup standings, the seventh top-25 finish for the Lynn since becoming eligible in 1997.
