Women’s Cross Country Schedule Released
BOCA RATON, Fla.—After an 11 year absence, Lynn University’s women’s cross country team has reemerged and will take on six events as announced by head coach Niki Alvarez in the release of the 2012 schedule.
The Fighting Knights waste no time with the first event of the year coming just over two weeks after the team’s first day of official practice as the Blue & White head to Tampa, Fla., on August 31, to participate in the Tampa Invite 5K.
Next on the docket for Alvarez and company is another trip to Tampa for the USF Invite 5K on September 7, followed by a September 22, event at Embry Riddle in Dayton, Fla.
The Disney Invite on October 6, in Orlando represents Lynn’s first event past the halfway mark of the season.
The Fighting Knights conclude the year with another visit to Orlando in the University of Central Florida 6K on October 12, then travel to Winter Park, Fla. on October 20, to make its claim at the conference title in the Sunshine State Conference Championships hosted by Rollins.
