Men’s Golf Hits Links at Guy Harvey Invitational
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s golf team is fifth at the Guy Harvey Invitational after shooting an opening round 293. The Fighting Knights did not complete second round play following darkness. Daniel Young is tied for sixth individually on the PGA National Champion Course.
A senior out of Perth, Scotland, Young shot one-under par on the front nine and finished with a one-under par 71. Filip Timmerman posted a one-over par 73 while Jose Andres Miranda logged a +2 74 in his first career tournament. Roberto Francioni and Max Albertus rounded out LU’s starting five with scores of 75 and 81, respectively.
Additionally, Kane Wilkersion is tied for 13th after participating as an individual and shooting an even par 72.
Lynn is 14 shots back of host Nova Southeastern (279) but within closing distance of second-place Eckerd (288). Barry (290) sits third while Rollins (291) is holding on to fourth.
