Men’s Golf Young & Restless at Guy Harvey Invite
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Lynn University’s men’s golf team finished third at the Guy Harvey Invitational while Daniel Young placed fifth individually. The Fighting Knights had four golfers in total within the top-20 in their first tournament of the fall.
A senior out of Perth, Scotland, Young posted his best round of the 54-hole event, shooting a three-under par 69 on the PGA National Champions course. Young recorded scores of 71-71-69 for a 211 total.
After combining to shoot one-under par in the second round, Roberto Francioni and Jose Andres Mirand each shot a 74 in the third round to finish tied for 20th with a score of 220. Filip Timmerman was just one shot back of his teammates to tie for 23rd. Max Albertus logged a 237, respectively.
Kane Wilkerson continued his solid play as an individual. After shooting even par on the opening day, the sophomore out of Winston Salem, N.C. shot a one-under 71 in the second round before concluding with a 219 total. He tied for 15th overall.
The Fighting Knights shot the fourth-lowest score on the day with a 290, finishing with an 872 total. Host Nova Southeastern took top honors with an 848 while Barry University was second with a score of 858. Eckerd (881), Rollins (884) and Florida Southern (884) rounded out the top-five.
