Savannah, Ga. – The 2013 Armstrong Pirate Men's Golf Invitational has been cancelled due to inclement weather. The two-day tournament saw only nine holes competed on Monday and play was never able to resume on Tuesday.
Heavy rains on Monday halted play with only nine holes of the first round completed at 10:55 a.m. Tuesday's plan was to resume the first round at 10:00 a.m. with a second round to follow, but course conditions were too wet to see play at all on Tuesday.
This is the first time in the 12-year history of the Armstrong Pirate Invitational that a tournament has been cancelled due to weather.
The 10th-ranked Lynn University men’s golf team returns to action on Monday, March 11, at the Southeastern Intercollegiate in Valdosta, Ga.
