Women’s Golf Competes in Rain-Shortened Guy Harvey Invite
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Lynn University’s women’s golf team sits in seventh place after the first round of the Guy Harvey Invitational. Rain and darkness halted second round play with 4-6 holes remaining. Jessica Bradley posted the lowest score for the Fighting Knights on the PGA National-Palmer course.
The sophomore Bishops Nympton, England, carded a 36 in the opening nine holes before shooting a 39 on the back nine en route to a 75. Bradley is tied for 12th individually. Irene Calvo is next for the Fighting Knights, shooting a 77 to tie for 19th. Ellen Chambers, Louise Manalo and Samantha Smolen are all within two strokes of each other after posting scores of 80, 81 and 82.
Lynn shot 313 as a team and is 23 strokes behind host Nova Southeastern (290). Rollins (301), Barry (306), Florida Tech (309) and Florida Southern (310) round out the top-five.
