Bornelus and Palmer combined to score over half of the Fighting Knights’ points on the night.

    Lynn University’s men’s basketball team logged season-high totals in made three-pointers and three-point shooting percentage en route to its first home victory of the season as the Fighting Knights downed the Embry-Riddle Eagles on Wednesday night in Sunshine State Conference action, 88-77. Brandon Bornelus and Jamal Palmer each poured in 19 points apiece to lead the Blue and White offense.

    A day after posting its best shooting numbers on the season, Lynn University’s men’s basketball team was not able to follow up with a repeat performance on Tuesday afternoon as the Fighting Knights fell to Miles College, 72-67, on the final day of Florida Tech’s Holiday Classic. The contest was knotted up at 59-59 with just over two minutes to play, but missed opportunities doomed the Blue and White as the Bears iced the game with free throws down the stretch.

    Season-best marks in points, field-goal percentage and three-point shooting were the key ingredients for Lynn University’s men’s basketball team on Monday afternoon as the Fighting Knights kicked off Florida Tech’s Holiday Classic with a 93-75 nonconference triumph over Shawnee State University. Four players scored in double figures, led by junior Jamal Palmer’s season-high 23.
