Men's Basketball Opens NCAA Regional Play on Saturday

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Lynn University's men's basketball team punched its ticket to the NCAA Division II Tournament this season for the first time since 2014-15 and the Fighting Knights will open up regional action Saturday, March 16, on the campus of Nova Southeastern in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The Blue and White drew the No. 3 seed in the South Region, providing a first-round matchup with No. 6 seed University of Alabama in Huntsville tomorrow at 12 p.m. In 2014-15, the roles were reversed, with sixth-seed Lynn upsetting third-seed UAH int he first round, 80-62. The Fighting Knights would end up advancing to the South Region Championship that year, falling to eventual national champions, Florida Southern.

Fans are encouraged to attend tomorrow's game at NSU to support the Fighting Knights. For students on campus who are unable to attend, there will be a watch party held at Christine's in the University Center. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
