Men's Basketball Shines in Season Debut

BOCA RATON, FLA. – On the first floor for the first time in the 2019-20 season, Lynn men's basketball didn't disappoint. They hung 41 points on Trevecca Nazarene in the first half and never looked back. Led by 23 points from Jordan Allen, the Fighting Knights opened the season with an 83-58 victory.

STATS OF THE GAME:

-          Allen led all scorers led by his four triples. He added eight boards and a pair of steals.

-          Fellow Division I transfer Christian Peevy posted a double-double in his Lynn debut with 18 points and 10 boards.

-          Brandon Bornelus reached double figures with 10 and handed out four assists, a game-high.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

-          Lynn dominated the paint outscoring TNU 42-18 in the paint.

-          They also scored 30 points off Trojan turnovers.

-          The Fighting Knights controlled the game in transition with 23 points.

-          Lynn shot nearly 50% from the field for the game.

-          Peevy was a game-high +26 for the night.

-          Lynn started the game on a 9-0 run.
