Starting guards Brandon Bornelus and Jamal Palmer blew up offensively in the first half but Lynn University’s men’s basketball team needed to fight late to fend off host Palm Beach Atlantic in a 75-73 Sunshine State Conference victory on Saturday. Bornelus and Palmer combined to score over half of the Fighting Knights’ points on the night.
A 10-of-19 effort from long range in the first half gave Lynn University’s men’s basketball team the momentum it needed on Wednesday night to knock off Eckerd College in Sunshine State Conference action, 78-44. Jamal Palmer had a career-night beyond the arc, leading the Blue and White with 23 points.
Clutch three-point shooting at the end of both the regulation and overtime periods lifted the Lynn University men’s basketball team to victory on Saturday night as the Fighting Knights took down Florida Southern by a final score of 92-90 in overtime.

Brandon Bornelus and Jamal Palmer each poured in 19 points apiece to lead the Blue and White offense.
Despite a pair of 21-point performances from both Jamal Palmer and Rasheed Worrell, Lynn University’s men’s basketball team was defeated on the road Saturday, falling to Saint Leo in Sunshine State Conference play, 80-73.
