  • Six Fighting Knights Collect CoSIDA All-District Plaudits

    Lynn University was among the top institutions in Division II to garner Google Cloud Academic All-District 5 At-Large recognition, following the announcement by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday. Helen Kreuzer and Krissy Ortiz of women's golf, Catalina Berraud-Galea and Sarah Hughes from women's swimming and Collin McClelland and Conrad Rhein from men's lacrosse all earned First Team accolades and are now eligible for Academic All-America recognition.

  • Men’s Lacrosse Tripped Up by Saint Leo in SSC Semifinals

    Boca Raton, Fla. – Lynn University's men’s lacrosse team saw its eight-game win streak snapped on Thursday evening, falling in the semifinals of the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Men’s Lacrosse Championships 9-7 to visiting-Saint Leo. Senior attackman Conor Vaughan netted two goals on three shots while Dryden Brous continued to prove himself a force in the faceoff circle, going 16-for-20. 
  • Kingsbury Appointed Coach of the Year; Men’s Lacrosse Garners Program-Best Nine All-SSC Awards

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team hauled in a program-record nine accolades on Wednesday with the announcement of the 2019 All-Sunshine State Conference teams, highlighted by Brian Kingsbury’s second career SSC Coach of the Year award. Two Fighting Knights landed on the All-SSC First Team, five were tabbed to the Second Team and one player was named to the Freshman Team.

    For the third time in the past four weeks, Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team was represented in the Sunshine State Conference Players of the Week announcement. On Monday, Dryden Brous was named SSC Specialist of the Week while Greg Morissette was tabbed SSC Defensive Player of the Week.
  • Captain Clutch! McCabe Buries Another Game-Winner; No. 18 Men’s Lacrosse Captures SSC Regular-Season Title

    For the second time in as many games, the ball was put in the hands of Nick McCabe in a critical offensive situation and the redshirt-sophomore delivered yet again, striking the game-winner in overtime to give the 18th-ranked Lynn University men’s lacrosse team an 11-10 victory over Saint Leo on Senior Day. With the win, the Fighting Knights capture the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Regular Season Championship, marking the first title in program history.

Brous earns a weekly award from the SSC for the 10th time in his career, marking the most all-time from any student-athlete in Lynn Athletics history.

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team went on the road for the first time in nearly a month on Wednesday night, controlling Palm Beach Atlantic from start to finish in a 15-7 Sunshine State Conference victory. The Fighting Knights improve to 4-1 in league play on the year, clinching the program’s first-ever winning record in regular-season SSC competition.

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team outscored visiting Embry-Riddle 7-0 in the second half on Saturday as the Fighting Knights pulled away for a 13-5 Sunshine State Conference win. The Blue and White have now rattled off five consecutive victories.

    It was another good showing out of the league office for Lynn University athletics as three Fighting Knights were named Sunshine State Conference Players of the Week on Monday. Collin McClelland from men’s lacrosse was named Defensive Player of the Week while Kay Bartmann and Leolia Jeanjean sweep the tennis Player of the Week awards for the second consecutive week.
  • Men’s Lacrosse Tackles Rival Rollins for First SSC Triumph

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team picked up its first Sunshine State Conference victory of the season on Saturday as the Fighting Knights defeated rival Rollins College, 10-8. The victory is sweet revenge for the Fighting Knights after the Tars beat Lynn by one goal in each of the last two seasons.

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team hosted Colorado State University-Pueblo on Friday night, marking the squad’s final nonconference matchup of the season before turning to the final stretch of Sunshine State Conference action. The Fighting Knights started fast and never gave up the lead, downing the ThunderWolves, 16-6. Mikey Urso and Xander Cosenza combined to score half of the team’s goals.
  • Brous’ Dominance Lifts Men’s Lacrosse to Victory in Annual One Love Game

    Junior faceoff specialist Dryden Brous broke one of his own school records and tied another as the Lynn University men’s lacrosse team downed St. Michael’s College in nonconference play Thursday night, 12-9. The Fighting Knights held their annual One Love Game, in support of the One Love Foundation and its Yards for Yeardley movement.
  • Urso Sets New Points Record in Men’s Lacrosse Defeat to No. 8 Belmont Abbey

    Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team fell in a rain-soaked non-conference game to eighth-ranked Belmont Abbey 15-10 at home on Tuesday evening. Mikey Urso became the new points leader for the program, tallying four points, while Conor Vaughan poured in his first career hat-trick.

    A 4-0 scoring run for Florida Southern at the end of the second quarter put Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team in a steep halftime deficit Saturday night as the Fighting Knights dropped their Sunshine State Conference opener to the Mocs, 13-9.
  • Rhein Registers Game-Winner in Men’s Lacrosse Comeback Overtime Victory

    Down 11-8 with just over five minutes to play in regulation, Lynn University’s men’s lacrosse team buckled down and scored three unanswered goals to send Saturday’s nonconference tilt to overtime. The Fighting Knights drew up an offensive play in a crucial timeout as Conrad Rhein put away the game-winner for a 12-11 victory over North Greenville University.
  • Men’s Lacrosse Rebounds in Utah behind Maxwell’s Five Goals

    Lynn University’s men lacrosse team capped its trip out west to the Rocky Mountains on a high note Tuesday afternoon, defeating Westminster College 11-9 in nonconference action. Keegan Maxwell was locked in offensively, scoring nearly half of the Fighting Knights’ goals.

    Lynn University athletics had an incredible showing out of the league office on Monday afternoon, securing six Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week accolades. Michael Baez was named men’s basketball’s Player of the Week, Dryden Brous and Collin McClelland picked up two of the three men’s lacrosse awards, Helen Kreuzer was named the women’s Golfer of the Week with Florian Clemares and Natalia Siedliska clinching a Fighting Knights' sweep in the tennis category.

    If any part of the collegiate men’s lacrosse world was not paying attention to Lynn University before, they certainly are now. The Fighting Knights opened up their 2019 campaign at home on Sunday vs. seventh-ranked NYIT, thrashing the Bears in a dominant 19-5 victory. The win marks the first time in program history that the Blue and White defeated a team nationally ranked No. 7 or higher.
