    The 10th-ranked Lynn University men’s soccer program wasted little time showcasing its talented 2017 squad as the Fighting Knights poured it on offensively in the second half Friday evening for a 5-0 victory over Auburn Montgomery in the season opener. Five different players found the back of the net for Lynn, led by a three-point effort from Elliott Legg in his Blue and White debut.

    The tone was set prior to the start of the year with Lynn University's men's soccer team earning a No. 10 preseason national ranking and the top position in the Sunshine State Conference preseason poll...the Fighting Knights won both the SSC regular season and tournament titles in 2016 for the fifth time in league history, more than double the amount of the next institution, and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time under head coach John Rootes.

    Lynn University’s men’s soccer team has been chosen as the preseason favorite to win the 2017 Sunshine State Conference, as announced on Wednesday. The Fighting Knights received 97 votes, including eight first-place votes, in a poll selected by league coaches.
