Softball Receives Nine NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete Selections

Louisville, Ky. – A program-record nine members from last season's Lynn University softball team were recently named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-America Scholar-Athletes. This award is given out yearly to softball student-athletes who earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher during that specific academic year. 

Seven student-athletes, Elizabeth Diaz, Katelyn Key, Rachel Lightner, Francais Olexa, Victoria Rios, Madison White and Leanne Wright, were repeat honorees while Taylor Steczo and Erin Sundook garnered their first All-America Scholar recognition.  Lynn represents nine of the 46 Sunshine State Conference softball student-athletes selected as NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes. Barry led the conference with 12 selections. 

Lynn returns 13 letterwinners along with seven starters of its squad which went 26-22 last season.
