Swimming Goes Under Versus Tars

BOCA RATON, FLA. – Lynn University’s women’s swimming team had a Sunshine State Conference splash with Rollins, losing 73-106 in the 11-event contest. The Fighting Knights took the gold in six events but failed to have two top-three finishes in any event.
The first individual gold went to Julia Pedersen in the 200 Yard Freestyle , who also earned another top finish in the 100 Yard Freestyle. Thali Carmigniani earned multiple top-finishes with the fastest time in the 200 Yard IM and 500 Yard Freestyle. Tyne Potgieter finished in front of the Tars in the 100 Yard Breaststroke as well. In the final event of the day Lynn won it’s only team top-finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
Lynn University’s women’s swimming team gets a two week break from competition before diving back into the pool at the Nova Southeastern Invitation on December 14.
