No. 3 Men’s Tennis Serves Up Fourth Straight Victory

BOCA RATON, Fla.-Lynn University’s men’s tennis team defeated Ave Maria 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon. LU took an automatic 2-0 lead due to the lack of depth of the Gyrenes’ team. No. 28 Max Kouyate teamed with Pavel Mohja to take down Ave Maria’s Zachary Sadusky and Theodore Prince, 8-3. Mohja faced Prince in singles for a 6-0, 6-0 victory. No. 28 Alessio Iannozzi swept Sadusky in two sets of 6-0 as well.
Iannozzi paired with Simon Gloeckner for an 8-0 win over Joseph Doherty and Leonel Duval. In singles, Gloeckner finished off Eric Peterson in two sets of 6-1 victories. Giulio Gomba Took down Duval in identical sets of 6-1 while Luca Pignatelli swept Joseph Doherty 6-0, 6-0.
The Blue and White advance to 4-0 on the young season. Sunday the Fighting Knights will travel to No. 12 Saint Leo for a Sunshine State Conference showdown at 10 am.
