No. 3 Men's Tennis Picks Up Win Over Mocs
LAKELAND, Fla.- Lynn University’s men’s tennis team defeated No. 22 Florida Southern for its seventh consecutive win. The Knights stand at 7-0, 4-0 in the Sunshine State Conference. Fourth ranked Willi Wolfer and Vlad Cirla started the match off with a 9-8, 9-7 doubles win over Benoit Paradis and Emanuel Lueber. In singles, Wolfer dropped his first set, 6-2, to Lueber before coming back to win the next two sets, 6-4 and 10-5.
No. 28 Alessio Iannozzi defeated Valdimir Barabash in sets of 6-0 and 6-2 before teaming up with Simon Gloeckner for an 8-1 doubles win over Robbie Palmiotto and Carl Lundberg. Gloeckner beat Palmiotto in singles while Pavel Mojha and Max Kouyate also picked up singles wins. Mojha and Kouyate took down Barabash and Nathan Leavitt in an 8-4 doubles win.
