Anderson, S.C. – Coming off one of the top offensive performances under head coach Cally Morrill, Lynn University's women's soccer team was stymied 1-0 by Anderson on Thursday night.

  • Anderson's Lexi Williams recorded the lone goal of the match in the 58th minute, beating Alex Downie with a shot from just outside the box.
  • Lynn outshot Anderson 15-6 overall, including 11-1 in the second half.
  • Downie notched three saves compared to her counterpart Abby Helm, who logged seven stops.

  • This is the first meeting between Anderson and Lynn in women's soccer.
  • All three of Lynn's match have resulted in a shutout (lost to West Florida 3-0, def. Concordia 7-0 and lost to Anderson 1-0).
