Not Rattled; Women’s Tennis Tops St. Mary’s

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Lynn University's women's tennis team prevailed 8-1 over No. 9 St. Mary's in another top-10 matchup for the Fighting Knights. Four Fighting Knights improved on their perfect singles records to keep the third-ranked team in the country undefeated.

  • The Fighting Knights put the Rattlers in an immediate 3-0 hole after doubles. Both the Nos. 2 & 3 positions had easy wins while new partners Rosalie Willig and Stefanie Stemmer notched a 9-7 victory in the top slot.
  • Grace Mpassy made quick work of her opponent at No. 2 singles, Kaylin Kruseman, 6-1, 6-1, for Lynn's fourth point and Willig put the match away with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 3 singles position.
  • Stemmer needed a second-set tie-breaker to come away with the W at No. 4, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).
  • Martina Gledacheva won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5 singles and Carolina Cuevas took down Sindhu Ravula 6-4, 6-3, in the last singles position.
  • Diana Bogolii played a marathon match with Camille Clausse-Pujo, falling 3-6, 7-5, 21-19, at the No. 1 singles slot.


  • Stemmer, Willig, Gledacheva and Cuevas all remained undefeated in singles play.
  • This is the eighth nationally-ranked opponent for Lynn and fourth team victory over a top-10 institution.
