Four Fighting Knights Featured in Women’s Tennis National Preseason Rankings

Tempe, Ariz. – Diana Bogolii, Jan Abaza, Tereza Hejlova and Natalie Kallmunzerova of Lynn University's women's tennis team all made appearances in both singles and doubles with the announcement of the 2017 Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division II Fall Rankings that were released last week.

Kallmunzerova, a freshman, comes in as Lynn's highest-ranked player in singles at No. 15 after winning the top bracket at Rollins' C.L. Varner Memorial Invitational and reaching the semifinals at the ITA South Region Championships this fall.

Bogolii, in her third and final season at Lynn, is ranked individually in singles for the third consecutive preseason, coming in this year a spot behind Kallmunzerova at No. 16. Abaza (No. 22) and Hejlova (No. 45) round out the Blue and White crew.

Following a South Region doubles title, Bogolii and Abaza claim the No. 3 spot in the doubles preseason rankings. Bogolii has started off the past two seasons ranked No. 1 in the country in doubles. Hejlova and Abaza team up for the 22nd-ranked doubles squad.

In the South Region rankings, Kallmunzerova, Bogolii and Abaza occupy the 4, 5 and 6 spots in singles, respectively,  while Bogolii and Abaza are the top-ranked doubles tandem in the region.
