Le Tertre Becomes Second Cross Country Runner to Compete at NCAA National Championship

Pittsburgh, Pa. – Lynn University's women's cross country runner Emannuelle Le Tertre competed at the school's second-ever NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championship on Saturday afternoon. Le Tertre finished 167 overall out of 264 runners.

The Sainte Terre, France native finished with a time of 25.17.3, which was three minutes behind her program-record time at the South Regional last month.

Le Tertre joined runners from Embry-Riddle and Tampa's Zoe Jarvis as the only runners from the Sunshine State Conference. Le Tertre placed third out of the nine SSC runners.

Le Tertre joins Gabriella Wuyke as the only athletes for the Blue and White to compete at the Cross Country National Championship. Wuyke finished 146th overall in 2013 with a time of 23:02.1.

Sarah Berger of Grand Valley St. claimed the top individual spot with a time of 22.07.7. Grand Valley State also earned the team title with a score of 41. The University of Mary and Adams State rounded out the top three.

Le Tertre finishes the season with All-SSC and All-Region accolades and became the first Fighting Knight to be named SSC Freshman of the Year.
