Frank A. Robino, Jr. Golf Classic

Frank A. Robino, Jr. was a trustee, generous benefactor and, most of all, a friend until his untimely death on Feb. 27, 2000. Mr. Robino's dedication to the university was evident in many ways. 

As a trustee, his advice and counsel for almost 30 years contributed to the success and recognition Lynn University now enjoys. As a benefactor, he assisted the university in addressing its many priorities as they arose. As a friend, Mr. Robino offered unwavering support for the entire university community. 

His main goal was to provide athletic scholarship assistance for students who would not otherwise be able to attend Lynn University. It is to this end that then-President Donald E. Ross and the Board of Trustees in 1997 named the university's golf tournament the "Frank A. Robino, Jr. Men's and Women's Golf Classic," directing all proceeds from the Classic to augment Lynn University's scholarship fund. 

About the Course 

Boca Country Club's premier golfing facilities are owned and operated by the Boca Raton Resort & Club. 

The course at the club is a par-72 Joe Lee designed course, which was recently renovated with more than $2.5 million in upgrades. The course plays 6,585 yards from the back tees and its signature is the scenic 18th-hole island green. 

Directions to Boca Country Club 

• Take Interstate 95 to the Congress Avenue exit.
• At the light as you exit the interstate, go south on Congress Avenue.
• Boca Country Club will be on the west side of the street approximately one mile south on Congress Avenue.
